Desborough Transplant Recipient Spreads Awareness On World Kidney Day

A Desborough woman who had a life-changing kidney transplant is helping to spread awareness on World Kidney Day.

Kathryn Croker received a kidney from her Dad – a living donor – ten years ago, after a rare condition caused her kidneys to fail when she was a child.

Since then she has worked tirelessly with Kidney Research UK to raise awareness of kidney disease and support others.

It is estimated around 3.5 million people are currently living with kidney disease, a million of which don’t even know they have it.
