Desborough Shop Owners Devastated After Attempted Break-In

The owners of a card and gift shop in Desborough say they have been left devastated after an attempted break-in caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Three masked men used bricks and a hammer to target Expressions on Station Road at around 6.30am yesterday, smashing several windows.

They are believed to have fled empty-handed after being disturbed.

Sisters Jo and Sarah, who run the shop, say the incident has been a huge blow to their small business.

Jo told HFM it was devastating to be targeted in this way, but added they have been overwhelmed by messages and offers of support from the local community.

The store remained closed today while a clean-up took place, but will reopen tomorrow once repairs are complete.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
