Desborough Man Appears In Court Charged With Assaulting Police Officers

A Desborough man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court accused of assaulting two police officers.

Daniel Stocker, 32, of Gold Street, is charged with two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker and making use or attempting to make use of a firearm, with intent to resist arrest.

The charges relate to an incident on Tuesday evening in Bridge Street, Rothwell, during which two officers were assaulted, but not seriously injured.

Stocker entered no pleas when he appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court today and will next appear at Northampton Crown Court later this month.
