Warning Issued To Developers

Developers across Harborough district are being warned to adhere to planning rules – or face action.

It follows complaints some are floating them by working out of permitted hours – including over weekends and early in the morning – disturbing residents.

Harborough Council says its monitoring sites and also investigating reports of unauthorised signage being put up by developers, including in Great Bowden.

Cllr Jonathan Bateman, the Council’s lead on planning enforcement, said: “We have made it clear to developers that they are required to adhere to agreed conditions if carrying out work in local areas.

“We are proactively monitoring sites in the district and will take appropriate and proportionate action if necessary.”
