Council Could Call-In Police After Documents Leaked

Harborough District Council is considering calling in the Police after confidential information was leaked into the public domain.
It is seeking specialist legal advice after maps showing potential housing development sites were shared on social media earlier this month.

Council leader Phil Knowles gave an update on the investigation at a meeting last night and said the information was leaked within minutes of the conclusion of a confidential briefing with councillors.
He told the meeting that if intellectual property laws were broken, the council would report the matter to Leicestershire Police:
