37 people from the Harborough District have sadly died after testing positive for Coronavirus.
Official figures, up until May 1st, show 25 passed away in hospital, 10 in care homes and 2 in their own homes.
There are currently 135 known cases of Covid-19 in the District, after Public Health England released the local figure for the first time, and just over 2,000 cases across Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, where over 680 people have now died.
A Market Harborough man who has dedicated the past six week to making vital face-shields for those dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic has sent out over 5,000.

Staff at the Children’s Ward at Kettering General Hospital are among those using face shields made by Aaron

Aaron Shrive began producing them for free with 3D printers for hospital staff in Leicester and Kettering, but was then inundated with requests from hospitals, care homes and other places nationwide.
Aaron, who says he’ll keep doing it for as long as it’s needed, told Hfm those who have received them have sent him thank you messages and pictures:
