Appeal After Burglar Forces His Way Into House

Police are appealing for information after a burglar smashed his way into a house in Market Harborough while an elderly couple were asleep.

They were awoken by the front door being kicked in and when they went to investigate saw a man running out of their home in Coventry Road.

The husband and wife were not injured, but were left shaken by what happened, and nothing was stolen.

It happened at around 1.15am last Thursday.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Hfm: “Enquiries have been carried out following the incident including CCTV and forensic enquiries and speaking to people in the area.
