Community Groups Celebrate Cash Handout

A host of community groups and charities are celebrating receiving a share of over £4,000.
Grants have been presented to ten organisations after the Market Harborough Twenty 12 Lion Club launched a new Community Awards Scheme.

Groups to benefit were Girl Guiding Market Harborough, The Village, Shopmobility, HFM, Harborough Community Bus, Harborough Band, Homestart South Leicestershire, Market Harborough Sea Cadets, Ian’s Chain and Jorgies Buddies,
Money raised by the Lions group funded the scheme, which it hopes to run again in the future.
The presentation event took place at Great Bowden Village Hall, with Cllr Peter Elliot, Chairman of Harborough District Council, presenting the grants.
