Clampdown On Dangerous Parking Outside Schools

A new bid to clampdown on parents parking dangerously outside Harborough schools is set to come into force this autumn.

Leicestershire County Council is investing around £200,000 in making more zig-zag markings outside them enforceable.

Currently parking wardens and the Police are unable to issue tickets in many of the no parking zones.

Traffic regulations will be changed to create ‘no waiting zones’ and mobile enforcement vehicles with cameras on them will also be used in problem areas.
