Final Campaigning Ahead Of Police Commissioner Elections

Candidates are into the final hours of campaigning ahead of tomorrow’s Police and Crime Commissioner elections in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
The PCC’s role is hold the local police force to account and set budgets, and in Northamptonshire the role also has responsibility for the Fire and Rescue Service.
Polling stations will be open between 7am and 10pm, with voters reminded to take photo identification with them.
The result will be announced on Friday.

Candidates standing for the role of Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner in alphabetical order are:
Fizza Askari – Independent (One Leicester)
Aasiya Bora – Green Party
Rupert Matthews – Conservative
Rory Palmer – Labour
Ian Sharpe – Liberal Democrats
Candidates standing for the role of Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner in alphabetical order are:
Martyn Emberson – Conservative
Ana Savage Gunn – Liberal Democrats
Danielle Stone – Labour
