Call For More Public Buildings Across Harborough To Be ‘Warm Banks’

As Harborough’s leisure Centres open as ‘warm banks’ for people struggling to afford to heat their homes, there are calls for more buildings to be made available.
Harborough Leisure Centre and Lutterworth Sports Centre have opened their doors to anyone with concerns about their energy bills.

Dedicated areas at both centres can be used by people free of charge after operator Everyone Active launched the initiative.
District Councillor Phil Knowles suggested other buildings should also be used as ‘warm banks’ earlier this year.
