Burglars Target Market Harborough Shop

Burglars smashed their way into a Market Harborough shop before trying to force open a safe.
They used a large slab to break glass in the front door of food store Cook in St Mary’s Place late on Saturday or during the early hours of Sunday.

The intruders then emptied cupboards in an office area and tried to force open a safe, but were unsuccessful.
It is not believed anything was stolen.
Leicestershire Police have launched an investigation into the incident and forensic officers have attended the shop.
The force says enquiries are ongoing and anyone witnesses or anyone with information are urged to come forward.
