Brody To Keep His Dad’s Memory Alive

A ten-year-old from Market Harborough is raising awareness of cancer and fundraising to keep his Dad’s memory alive.

Brody Dixon wants to use his experience of losing a parent to help other children.

He was four-years-old when his Dad James died from cancer in 2018, aged 45.

Brody is planning a series of fundraisers, including running Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life next month, with his Mum Bex and younger brother Blake, aged 8.

He also hopes to host an assembly at his school – Ridgeway Primary Academy in Market Harborough – and spoke to HFM:

The Dixon family have supported Cancer Research UK since James’s death and have taken part in every Race for Life since, raising over £3,000 for the charity.

This year’s event Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire on May 17th will be especially poignant for Bex, as it is seven years since losing her husband – longer than they were together:
