Bramble Foods Opens New Market Harborough Hub

One of Market Harborough’s biggest employers has opened a new distribution centre, creating space for future growth and up to 50 new jobs.

Fine food manufacturer and distributor Bramble Foods has moved into Lancaster House at Airfield Business Park, the company’s third base in the town.

The purpose-built 67,000 sq ft facility will become the company’s main national distribution hub, increasing its warehousing and distribution capacity as the business continues to expand its range of premium food brands and customer base across the UK.

The move represents an investment of around half a million pounds and has allowed the company to continue growing in Market Harborough, avoiding the need to look elsewhere for larger premises.

Managing Director Tony Foster spoke to HFM after the facility was officially opened:

The ribbon was cut by Steve Heighton, who is celebrating 50 years of service working alongside the owners of Bramble Foods.

The development is part of the latest expansion of Airfield Business Park by Leicestershire County Council, which has more than doubled the size of the site from 81,000 sq ft to 190,000 sq ft since it first opened in 2019.

The business park is now home to 14 companies, with units designed to support a range of different businesses.

The new distribution centre also reflects the site’s aviation heritage, with Lancaster House named in recognition of the iconic Lancaster Bomber, preserving the history of the former Market Harborough Airfield.
