Boy In Court On Firearms Charge

A teenage boy has appeared in Court accused of producing an imitation gun during disorder in Market Harborough town centre.

Matteo Heathcote, 18, of Cromwell Crescent, is charged with possessing of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Magistrates in Leicester have deemed the charge too serious for them to consider and have sent to case the Crown Court, where he will appear next month.

Heathcote was arrested following a large fight in Church Street in the early hours of Saturday March 16th, when police were called to a reports a large disturbance.

Three men and a women were injured.
