Boost For Vital Harborough Charity

Written by on 21st January 2020

A Market Harborough charity has received a boost thanks to another town-based charity.

The Market Harborough and the Bowdens Charity is to provide cash to cover VASL’s running costs.

VASL provide a range of services including supporting older people and young carers and says the funding – the amount of which hasn’t been revealed – is vital so its work can continue.

Charity Manager Maureen O’Malley said: “Market Harborough and the Bowdens Charity have been an absolute boon to VASL and they have provided funding for a number of projects over the years. Obviously like all organisations we have overheads which include running our offices and paying for administration staff, and this funding will help us to focus on the important work we do in the community.”

Guy Hartopp is the Chairman of the Market Harborough & the Bowdens Charity’s Appeals Committee, he said: “VASL does fantastic work in the Harborough area across a wide range of people in the community. Their objectives align very closely with ours and we are delighted to be supporting them in this way.”
