B&M is closing its store in Market Harborough town centre.

It will shut at the beginning of next month and the discount retailer says it is working with staff to relocate them to other near-by stores, including its other one in Harborough off Rockingham Road.

The store in the Commons Car Park has been open for just over ten years – the building that houses it was bought by Harborough Council last year, together with the neighbouring Tesco Metro.

A sign has gone up at the store

No reason for the closure is being given.

A spokesperson for B&M, told Hfm: “We can confirm that unfortunately our Market Harborough town centre store will be closing.

“We want to thank customers for shopping with us over the years and we hope to see them in our store on Rockingham Road in the future.”
