Bid To Increase Taxi Fares Rejected
Written by HFM News on 16th October 2018
Council bosses have rejected a proposal to increase taxi fares across Harborough.
The trade had asked for a rise in-line with inflation each year, to help off-set increasing fuel and licensing costs.

If an increase had come into force now, it would have made taxi fares among the most expensive in the country.
Harborough Council did however last night agree to review tariffs once every 2 years, or on request from the taxi trade in the future.
