Banking Hub Opens in Market Harborough

Written by on 6th March 2025

Market Harborough’s eagerly awaited new ‘banking hub’ is now open…

Today’s announcement (Thursday 6th March) comes from Cash Access UK, which has created a temporary home for the new multi-bank facility within Harborough District Council’s Symington Building – until a permanent home can be found.

It offers a general counter service run by the Post Office between 9am and 5pm on weekdays PLUS a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the hub.

Currently Natwest is there on Mondays, and Barclays on Fridays – with Lloyds on Wednesdays from April, Santander on Tuesdays from July and HSBC due to be there on Thursdays soon.

President of Market Harborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce, Gareth Thomas, says it’s great news for businesses in the town:

Mr Thomas adds that the banking hub will be beneficial for members of the public, too…

A suitable location for a permanent hub like this in Market Harborough has yet to be found
