ATS Closes Service Centre In Little Bowden

National garage chain ATS Euromaster has closed its service centre in Little Bowden.

The branch on Kettering Road, which had been open for many years, is one of a number to be shut nationwide amid cuts to around a third of the company’s network.

Customers have been greeted with shutters down and a sign outside saying ‘sorry, this centre has now closed’ and a QR code to book a mobile tyre fitting.

Michelin-owned ATS Euromaster say the closures follow a review of the company’s operating model blamed on overcapacity, increasing costs and sluggish growth.

It is unclear how many workers have been affected by the closure in Little Bowden, although rival garage operator Halfords has extended an offer of interviews to members of staff affected by the closures.
