Asbestos Panels Dumped On Walkway In Market Harborough

Harborough District Council has acted swiftly after asbestos panels were dumped on a walkway in Market Harborough used by schoolchildren.
The alarm was raised this morning by a concerned parent who spotted the dangerous flytipping on the route between The Broadway and Meadow Street.

The Council instructed its environmental contractor FCC to attend the site.
A spokesperson told HFM: “We have moved quickly to make sure the asbestos is bagged up and the area has been made safe ready for removal by a specialist crew as soon as possible.
“Residents can report fly-tipping to us at tipoff@harborough.gov.uk”
