Arts Fresco Hailed Big Success

The organiser of Arts Fresco has hailed Saturday’s big community event in Market Harborough a success.

A host of professional acts joined community performers as the free street arts festival returned to the town centre.

The event, now in its 24th year, saw crowds form on The Square and elsewhere as performances took place across the day.

A dedicated team of volunteers organised the event, made possible thanks to funding from Harborough District Council, Market Harborough and the Bowdens Charity, the Arts Council of England and Howard Watson Symington Memorial Charity.

Bucket collections were also held to support fundraising for a future Arts Fresco event.

Akshay Sharma has just been appointed Leicester’s first-ever poet laureate to champion poetry and the arts and was one of the performers.
