Three people were arrested after fleeing from a stolen car when it was abandoned in Desborough.
Police descended on Harborough Road on Saturday morning after the driver of the Honda CRV pulled over near the Bear Way junction, having earlier failed to stop for officers.
The vehicle had been stolen from Wellingborough earlier that morning.
A Police dog was involved in the search for the suspects and a spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “At about 11.40am, the vehicle was spotted and failed to stop for officers, eventually stopping in Harborough Road where three people decamped.
“A 42-year-old man has since been charged with a number of offences in connection with the incident including failing to stop, aggravated vehicle taking, vehicle damage under £5000, and driving without insurance.
“A second 42-year-old man has been released on bail pending further enquiries while a 33-year-old woman has been released with no further action.”
