Arrest After Motorcyclist Fails To Stop For Police On A6

A driver was arrested after a motorcyclist failed to stop for police on the A6 near Kibworth Harcourt.

Officers discovered the bike abandoned further along the road towards Market Harborough and then located the rider in a car.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “Officers attempted to stop a motorcyclist which failed to stop at around 9.50pm on Thursday night (18 April) on the A6 Harborough Road near to Kibworth Harcourt.

“The rider was found shortly afterwards nearby within a vehicle, a Vauxhall Astra.

“The 38-year-old driver of the Astra was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and has since been released under investigation as our investigation continues.”

Officers say the investigation into the motorcyclist failing to stop is also on-going.
