Appeal After Motorcyclist Seriously Injured At Wistow Crossroads

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash at the Wistow Crossroads this morning.

The male rider’s Yamaha motorbike was involved in collision with a Audi Q3 car on Kibworth Road at around 7.10am and was taken to University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire.

The motorcycle was travelling from Kilby towards Wistow at the time, and the car from Fleckney towards Leicester Road.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either vehicle beforehand, or has any dashcam footage is urged to call DC 4224 Anna Thorpe on 101, quoting incident 70 of 20 April.

Road closures are in place on Kilby Road, Kibworth Road and Leicester Road while an investigation into the collision is carried out.

There has been a number of crashes at the crossroads in past year.
