Appeal For Volunteers To Help Tackle Loneliness

A Market Harborough based charity needs more help for its ‘Community Champions’ project.
The scheme, run by VASL, aims to reduce loneliness for people over 60 who live alone in the Harborough District – by volunteers visiting them in their own homes.
Maureen O’Malley, the charity’s manager, told HFM they are struggling to keep up with demand:
