Appeal For Football Shirts For Youngsters In The Gambia

An appeal for donations of Premier League or Championship football shirts has been launched in Market Harborough.

Robert Van Der Liet and his family will be visiting The Gambia during Easter next month and want to give the shirts to football-mad schoolchildren, who are living in poverty in the West African country.

They will also be taking stationary to Bakau, so donations of items like exercise books, rubbers, pencils and rulers are also welcome.

Robert spoke to Hfm:

Anyone who can donate a football shirt or other items can drop them off at St Joseph’s School in Market Harborough, which is acting as a collection point, until Friday 25th March.

Alternatively, to arrange collection, email Robert – robert@thefoodbarn.co.uk
