Appeal After Wistow Crash

Police are appealing for information after a crash near Wistow on Friday afternoon left a man seriously injured.

It believed the blue Land Rover Defender collided with the bridge over the river on Station Road, before crashing off the road and ending up in a ditch.

The 49-year-old driver was airlifted to hospital from the scene to the University Hospital Coventry where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The accident happened at about 3.20pm.

Detective Constable Pete Davies told Hfm: “We are appealing to anyone with any information regarding the incident to get in touch.

“Did you see the vehicle described in the area beforehand? Did you witness the collision or attend to the scene following the incident? Do you have any dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision which could assist our enquiries?”
