Appeal After Horse-Drawn Cart Overturns On A508

A man from East Farndon is trying to trace people who came to his aid when his horse-drawn cart overturned on the A508 yesterday afternoon.
It happened around 2.30pm on the stretch of the road between Market Harborough and Great Oxendon.
The animal was spooked by a lorry travelling in the opposite direction, which James Mason says was speeding and did not slow down when passing him.
The horse bolted into the verge causing the cart to jack-knife and overturn, leaving him trapped underneath it.

The lorry, travelling towards Market Harborough, did not stop, but other drivers pulled over to help get him free and offer assistance.
James, who suffered cuts and bruises, wants to speak to the people who stopped, so he can provide Police with more details about the incident.
He is also appealing for any dash-cam footage which can be passed to officers.
