Appeal After Fatal Collision On B6047

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in Tilton on the Hill.
The two-vehicle collision happened on the B6047 Leicester Road just after midday yesterday.
It involved two vehicles – a blue Vauxhall Agila and a grey Ford Kuga.
The passenger in the Agila – a woman – sadly died at the scene while the driver – a man – was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
The driver of the Kuga was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life changing or life changing.
Detective Constable Suki Sahota from Leicestershire Police is appealing for witnesses.
She said: “At the time of the collision, the Agila was travelling towards Tilton on the Hill while the Kuga was travelling in the opposite direction.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the events leading up it.
“Alternatively, please let us know if you have any dashcam which may have captured anything relating to this incident.”
