Appeal After Drivers Flagged Down By Man

Police want to hear from drivers flagged down by a man saying he has run out of diesel and needs money for fuel.

Officers received two reports from people who stopped on Naseby Road near Sibbertoft on Saturday morning.

The man said his wife was pregnant and became aggressive towards one of the drivers, when told they could not help.

It is believed similar incidents involving the man and a dark-coloured car took place near Lubenham, with drivers who stopped fearing it could be a scam.

Northamptonshire Police is working to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incidents and a spokesperson said: “We would ask anyone who experiences similar to contact us.”
