Appeal After Attempted Arson Attacks At Church

People are being urged to stay vigilant around St Giles Church in Desborough following two attempted arson attacks in recent weeks.

Rubbish was set alight by the front door on two separate occasions, with the latest incident causing damage to the church door.

The neighbouring community centre on Lower Street has also been targeted.

Church leaders and Northamptonshire Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and to report any suspicious activity in the area.

The first incident happened overnight between November 11th and 12th, when fires were started at the entrances to both the church and the community centre.

The church was then targeted again overnight between November 26th and 27th.
