Another Climate Protest To Be Held

Young people in Market Harborough are to hold another protest demanding more action on climate change.

They will gather on Church Square after school on Friday afternoon, ahead of an ‘Eco Question Time’ event that will be held at the Congregational Church.

The first protest in March called on Harborough Council to declare a Climate Change Emergency, which the authority then did, and today councillors who are part of a ‘Climate Change Working Group’ meet for the first time later to discuss the situation.

Teenagers who are part of the Fridays For Future Market Harborough group want to see more action locally and expect around 50 people to be part of Friday’s protest.
