Another bank closure in Market Harborough

It’s been announced that yet another high street bank will pull out of
Market Harborough this year.

Barclays says it’ll close its branch at 20 High Street on the 28th of
July 2023.

It’s one of eleven further branch closures across the UK just revealed
by the bank – which it’s blaming on the surge in customers having their
banking needs met online, rather than in-person.

The latest news from Barclays follows the closure of the NatWest Bank on
St Mary’s Road in Market Harborough in January, and the announcement
that HSBC on High Street will shut for good next month.
