Alpacas Help Raise Over £1,300 For Primary School

Written by on 13th December 2023

Four Alpacas have helped raise over £1,300 pounds for Market Harborough’s C of E Academy today.

They roamed round the school field for five hours after it was marked out into grids and over 250 people reserved a spot – hoping the animals would use theirs as a toilet!

It took just under an hour for the first poop to be done with the second following a few minutes later, with cash prizes handed to the winners and other prizes for runners-up.

The unique fundraiser was organised by the school’s PTFA thanks to Rushfield Farm in Billesdon who allowed their Alpacas to visit for the day.

Money raised will support activities for pupils at the school and the PTFA is thanking all who supported the event.
