Air Ambulance Called to Medical Emergency in Market Harborough

An air ambulance crew was scrambled to a medical emergency in Market Harborough last night.

The helicopter landed on Little Bowden Recreation Ground at around 9pm while paramedics assisted East Midlands Ambulance Service crews at an address on Northampton Road.

A man in his 30s was later taken to hospital by land ambulance.

Police officers were also at the scene and PC Steve Winn said: “This was a report of a medical emergency that was contained to one specific address but did require a number of specialisms to provide the best level of care possible.

“As ever our NHS colleagues were excellent in the service they provided and the patient is in the best possible hands to aid their recovery.

“Thank you for your understanding on managing the incident.”
