Affordable Homes Planned For Garage Sites In Harborough Villages

A housing association has announced plans to demolish garages in four Harborough villages to make way for new affordable homes.
Platform Housing Group wants to flatten the blocks in Lubenham, Fleckney, Church Langton and Great Glen, to make way for houses and apartments.
Planning applications have been handed to the District Council for consideration:
- Demolition of 38 existing garages and erection of six apartments in Ruperts Way, Great Glen
- Demolition of 6 garages and erection of one two-storey building containing two one-bedroom apartments in Thornton Crescent, Church Langton.
- Demolition of 4 garages and erection of two dwellings in Elizabeth Close, Fleckney.
- Demolition of 9 garages and erection of two dwellings in Laughton Road, Lubenham.
