Harborough Homes Plan Abandoned

Landowners have abandoned their plan to build 65 new homes at the top of Kettering Road in Market Harborough.
They have withdrawn an appeal lodged with the government, after the proposal was rejected last year by Harborough Council.
It means meaning a planning inquiry, that was scheduled for January, will now not take place.

Councillors ruled the new estate would ruin the countryside location and be seen from a long way away due to its elevated location at Clack Hill.
Residents on the Ashley Way estate, whose home would have backed onto the new estate, had raised concerns about the impact on them.
