An inquest has heard how a Market Harborough woman died after she was hit by a police van that was out looking for her in Norfolk.

Helen Loveday, 52, was struck while walking in Wymondham Road, Hethel, late on July 27th last year.

She was flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, on his final shift as an air ambulance pilot, but sadly died two days later.

Ms Loveday, who was a volunteer at the Rainbows Charity Shop on Coventry Road, was been visiting her sister at the time and Police were called after she left the house indicating she might harm herself.

The inquest continues.
