Coffee Shop Owner Wins Tables & Chairs Battle

A Market Harborough coffee shop owner has finally put tables and chairs outside for customers, after winning a battle with bosses in the same building his business is.

Raj Aggarwal – owner of Insomnia, based inside Harborough Council’s Symington Building on Adam and Eve Street – appealed a decision to refuse permission for them, with a government Planning Inspector ruling in his favour.

Officials had said the furniture would detract from the setting of the grade 2 listed building.
