More Police Could Get Taser Guns

More Harborough Police officers could soon be given taser guns.
The Leicestershire force is looking at increasing the number of frontline staff who are armed with the devices.
It follows an increase in violent incidents, where taser and firearms officers have had to attend.
Assistant Chief Constable Rob Nixon says the stun guns are a useful tool in defusing high-risk incidents and statistically reduce the number of assaults of officers.
