Crisis Talks At Council

Northamptonshire County Council is holding crisis talks today over concerns it will no longer be able to pay for services for vulnerable children and adults.

It says it needs to make cutbacks as its budget shortfall could reach £70m.

The authority has imposed emergency spending controls twice in half a year.
