Written by HFM News on 29th October 2026
A fundraising drive has been launched to help ensure a much-loved Christmas tradition in Market Harborough can continue.
Santa’s Sleigh has been bringing festive cheer to the town’s streets for more than 50 years, while raising thousands of pounds for good causes.

The 3rd Market Harborough Scouts, which organises the annual appeal, is now seeking support from local businesses to help cover the running costs.
The group is also looking at the possibility of hiring a suitable tow vehicle after losing the vehicle that had previously been promised to them.
The committee says business support could help ensure the sleigh continues its annual rounds, allowing residents to welcome Santa and contribute to the fundraising effort.
Matt James from the Santa’s Sleigh committee spoke to HFM’s Nick Shaw:
If you would to support the appeal, email sleigh@3rdMHScouts.org.
