A Market Harborough restaurant has raised almost £5,500 to support people affected by devastating floods in Nepal.

Avatar Dining raised the money for the Nepal Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund through a charity dinner, customers’ food purchases and additional cash donations.

The restaurant has thanked everyone who contributed, including customers and donors, as well as Simon and Charlotte, who made a generous contribution.

Thanks have also been extended to the Avatar Dining team and staff, along with the organisers, supporters and media and camera team who helped make the fundraising effort possible.

The money will go towards supporting communities affected by the severe flooding in Nepal.
