Raffle Launched To Support Market Trader’s London Marathon Challenge

Written by on 10th October 2026

A trader at Harborough Market is fundraising for a charity supporting bereaved parents after signing up for the London Marathon for a second year running.

Mark Cavers, who runs the market’s fruit and veg stall, raised more than £4,000 for the Leicester-based Bodie Hodges Foundation last year and is taking on the challenge again to support its work.

The charity supports parents and families following the death of a child.

Mark is running a raffle to boost his fundraising, with fellow traders in the Food Hall contributing items for the first prize, which is worth around £150.

Customers have also been making donations through charity tins on his stall.
