Thief Steals Mobile Containing Dozens Of Sentimental Texts
Written by HFM News on 19th July 2018
A substantial reward’s being offered for the return of a mobile phone stolen from a Market Harborough pensioner yesterday.
The old-style Nokia model (pictured below) contained dozens of sentimental text messages sent to Myrna Diver from her son Stacey, in the year before he died from cancer in 2011, aged 39.
The phone was in a brown leather handbag that was taken from the front of her mobility walker sometime between 4 & 4.30pm, while shopping on the High Street.
It also contained a purse containing cash and cards.
Merina has been left devastated by the theft and people are being asked to keep a look out for the phone – which has no value – as it could have been discarded by the thief.
Anyone with information should call Police on 101, quoting reference number 150 18/7/18, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or Hfm on 01858 464666.
