Occupants Flee After Car Overturns Near Market Harborough

The occupants of a car fled after it overturned between Market Harborough and Lubenham late on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to the A4304 Harborough Road just before 11.30pm after the vehicle left the road, smashed through fencing and came to rest on its roof beside properties near the Archway Health and Wellbeing Centre on Lubenham Hill.

Fire crews searched the area but found no-one at the scene.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A vehicle left the road and collided with fencing at Archway House. It was overturned but, after an extensive search, there were no signs of any casualties.”

One fire appliance from Market Harborough attended after crews were called at 11.24pm. They remained at the scene until 1.11am.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to contact them by calling 101.
