Motorcyclist in life-threatening condition after A4304 crash

A motorcyclist is in a life-threatening condition following a collision on the A4304 in North Kilworth.

Emergency services were called to Station Road at the junction with Kilworth Road shortly before 3.45pm on Friday, after a collision involving a red Ducati Multistrada motorcycle and a white Mercedes Vito van.

The rider, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported and no-one was arrested.

Leicestershire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either vehicle beforehand or has dashcam footage to come forward.

The road was closed for several hours while collision investigation work took place.
