Lubenham School Launches Appeal After Family tragedies

Lubenham All Saints Primary School has launched an appeal to raise up to £15,000 for a new wellbeing cabin to support pupils.
The school says it wants to create a dedicated space where children can receive emotional support following difficult experiences, after three families at the school community have experienced the sudden loss of a parent in the past year.
Almost £5,000 has already been raised towards the project, but further donations are needed to reach the target.
Headteacher Sarah Bishop said the past year had been “incredibly difficult” for the school community, with three families experiencing a sudden parental loss.
She said this had left children and their friends struggling with grief, fear, anger and confusion, and added that while staff had done everything possible to support them, the school lacked a suitable private space.
Mrs Bishop said: “We simply do not have a private, dedicated space for children who need comfort, counselling or a quiet moment to breathe. Every room in school is constantly in use with many areas doubling up as storage, meeting and workspaces. We desperately need a private space, a cabin, that we can use for all who need it.”
The proposed wellbeing cabin would provide a calm, dedicated area for pupils needing emotional support or time away from the classroom.
