New McDonald’s Opens in Lutterworth Creating 70 Jobs

A new McDonald’s has opened on the outskirts of Lutterworth today, creating 70 jobs.

The 80-seat restaurant at Leaders Farm, off the A4303 Coventry Road, follows significant investment by franchisee Angus Fraser, who now owns and operates seven McDonald’s restaurants across Leicestershire.

Mr Fraser said: “We are delighted to be opening a brand-new McDonald’s restaurant in Lutterworth and the team can’t wait to see local customers enjoy the services we have on offer.

“People are at the heart of our business, and we look forward to welcoming new employees with the jobs our restaurant will create. We’re committed to investing in opportunities for a mix of all ages, life stages and backgrounds, promoting flexibility and equality.”

Staff celebrate today’s opening

The restaurant is open 24 hours a day, includes a children’s play area and has been built using McDonald’s latest “Reimaging” design, which aims to improve customer experience through updated layouts and technology.

A range of sustainability measures have also been incorporated into the development, including solar panels, recycled building materials, energy-efficient design features and a modular construction system designed to reduce environmental impact.

The McDonald’s forms part of the wider Leaders Farm development, which has been developed by Leicestershire County Council.

A new Costa Coffee drive-thru has also been built on the site and is expected to open later this month.
